Yours Clothing gets Geared for Giving

Geared for givingGeared for Giving is delighted to announce that Yours Clothing has signed up to begin Payroll Giving.

CEO of Yours Clothing, Andrew Killingsworth, chose to offer Payroll Giving to his staff after learning about the huge benefits for both businesses and charities at a Geared for Giving event, hosted by campaign partner, ASOS. Andrew says:

“At Yours Clothing, we like to show our support to all our employees at every opportunity, and the Payroll Giving Scheme is a great example of this.  Our employees can make a tax free donation to a charity of their choice, and as the company absorbs the admin costs, both our employees and the chosen charities receive maximum benefit from the scheme.  The scheme is easy to set up and run and is another opportunity to show our staff that we care.”

Payroll Giving enables staff to give easily and tax free to any charity of their choice through pay – any amount, any cause. It’s a fantastic lifeline of regular funding for charities, much needed in the current climate.

Yours Clothing is off to a very strong start, with 25% of its head office employees signing up immediately to give through their pay to 28 charities so far. Founder of Geared for Giving, Peter O’Hara, said:

“We are thrilled that Yours Clothing has become Geared for Giving and it just shows how straightforward it is to introduce a Payroll Giving scheme. Moreover this demonstrates the appetite for employees to sign up to give through their pay. Many people just have no idea about Payroll Giving and how it can benefit charities. We look forward to other retailers and UK businesses getting the message that Payroll Giving is an essential strand of any CSR or employee engagement plan.”
